This year at Music Machines we wanted to really put the focus on beat makers and and producers so we asked the gang at Ayebro.co.nz to come on board and work with us to put together the lineup for one of the rooms. I’ve been reading Ayebro for time now and it’s always a fresh read with a focus on new NZ talent, something I think more websites could do instead of churning out the same press releases as every other site (NZ blog rant over)!
Along with some great interviews in the room we’ve put together a live beat battle for you all to check out. 4 beat makers get 30mins to put a beat together from the same sample set. The guys all work from the same software and you’ll be able to check out how they put their beats together during the battle. Music Machines is all about how people use the gear to create so this will be a great chance to see how they do it.
NZ Rockshop have offered up $1000 worth of sample CD’s for the winner which is gonna make it even more interesting. Here’s the run down on who’s taking part, they’ve all got their own style and sound so I’m really excited to see what they come up with, I’ve just gotta chose the samples now!
